Abstract
Objective: To assess the short-term local therapeutic efficacy, side-effect and safety of hepatic hemangioma treated by radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Methods: Twenty-two lesions of 16 patients with 24 lesions were treated by RFA, the result was evaluated by whether the symptoms were decreased and lesions were shrunken. Results: The symptoms of 11 in 16 cases(68. 75%) were disappeared and 5 cases (31. 25%) were decreased. , shrunken range was 29%-72%(mean 61%) by 1-5 months ultrasounogra-phy or spiral CT scan follow-up. Conclusion: RFA for hepatic hemangioma was a mini-invasive, effective, simple, safe and repeatable method in selected patients.
