Abstract
Polyaspartic acid was synthesized with maleic anhydride, ammonia carbonate and sodium hydroxide as raw materials. The results show that a scale inhibition of 95 % can be reached at the polymerization condition of ammonia carbonate to maleic anhydride moalr ratio of 1.1∶1,polymerization temperature of 170 ℃,polymeriation time of 2 h,mass ratio of NaOH to polysuccimide of 0.4∶1,with a dosage of PASP only 2 mg/L.The size of crystal grain of CaCO3 is obviously decreased and crystal form become irregular as polyaspartic acid is added.
