Abstract
The stability of aqueous utrafine α-Αl_2O_3 suspensions with poly(acrylic acid)(PAA) was studied as a function of dispersant content. The experimental results showed that,at a given condition, with the increased dispersant content, the stability of the suspensions was improved dramatically, while the amount of dispersant exceeded the optimum value, the stability of suspensions would decline. The amount of dispersant addition had an impact on particle size distribution ofα-Αl_2O_3 suspension,Addition of optimal dispersant content could achieve the lowest average particle size with the narrow particle size distribution.
