Abstract
Objective To compare slow-freezing and vitrification method for 8-cell mouse embryos cryopreservation. Methods The mouse 8-cell embryos derived from in vitro fertilization were cryopreserved with slow-freezing and vitrification method. Then the embryos were thawed to observe cryosurvival rate and blastocyst formation rate. Results The survival rate and blastocyst formation rate of embryos frozen with vitrification method were 94.9% and 89.9%,which was significantly higher than those with slow-freezing method 79.6% and 70.7%(all P0.01).Conclusion The 8-cell mouse embryos could be more effectively cryopreservated with vitrification than those with slow-freezing.
