Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of AIF mRNA in the hippocampus of status epilepticus rats, which kindled by pentylenetetrazol. Methods SE rat model was made by intraperitoneal injection of pentylenetetrazole. The hippocampal expression of AIF mRNA was showed through reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method. Results AIF mRNA was significantly up-regulated in hippocampal neurons following PTZ-induced epilepsy and existed for several days (at least from 6h to 2d after epilepsy ).Conclusion The result indicates that AIF may be activated at transcriptional level during neuronal apoptosis after epilepsy.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
