Phonological Studies on Liaoning Dialect

Similar to Beijing mandarin,Northeast mandarin was also developed from Youyan dialect.Thus,it's not suitable to seperate these two langguages.Considering the recent archaeological researches about the ancestral North and South Yanshanian,especially the result that the Yan and the Shang came from the same source,we may deduce that the Youyan dialect in the region of the Great Wall is one of the sources of original Chinese language,which contributed to the birthing and designing of the Chinese language.The history of Liaoning dialect can be traced back to the time of Youyan dialect,during the recent times it changed to be the Han'er dialect,and now it includes Northeast mandarin and Liaojiao mandarin.In Liaoning it can be divided into Chao Feng cluster,western Liaoning cluster,eastern Liaoning cluster,Gaihuan cluster and Denglian cluster.This paper discusses the features of phonology of Liaoning dialect.
