Abstract

Objective To investigate the changes of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in type 2 diabetic patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. Methods The patients were diagnosed atherosclerotic cerebral infarction. The experimental group of 26 patients with diabetes and the control group were 83 cases of non-diabetic patients.Dry-type quantitative immunofluorescence method was used for the determination of the concentration of serum hs-CRP.We used vitro diagnostic kit for determination of blood lipids, blood sugar level, and carotid color Doppler to check the carotid atherosclerotic plaque size and ultrasound characteristics, simultaneously the changes of carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT).Results The hs-CRP levels in the experimental group was significantly higher than in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);IMT and the occurred cases of plaque which more than two grade were more than the control group,The difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Serum hs-CRP has important predictive value in the genesis, development and prognosis of diabetic patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction.
