Abstract

The present paper reporte a new species of Phrynocaria collected from Yunnan Province, China. The type specimens are preserved in the Institute of Zoology Academia Sinica, Beijing, China.Phrynocaria nigrilimbata sp. nov.Female: Length 4.7 min, width 4.5 mm.This species is similar to Phrynocaria Congener (Billberg) but can be distinguished from the latter by: elytra reddish brown with black circumference and the receptacul-um seminis and genital plate of female are different in shape.Holotype ♀, Hnili (24f11N, 97f1149), Yunnan, 31/Ⅷ1979. and paratypes 2♀♀, Kun-ming, Yunman.
