Abstract
Objective The applicaton of little dose of midazolam and propofol for gastroscopy in patients. Methods One hundred twenty five patients were divided into sedative group and control group randomly. Sixty patients in sedative group were given pharynx local anesthesia at first, and then given intravenous midazolam. Sixty-five patients in control group were only given fentanyl at first, and then given intravenous propofol. Satisfaction and reaction during the procedure were compared with the control group. The changes of blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation were recorded and analysed. The recovery time of sedative group. Results Both groups succeeded in Gastyoscopy and no severe negative effects. The degree of discomfort in sedative group and control group was 6.7% and 1.5% respectively, Between two groups were not significant difference(P0.05). The examine time, blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation before the procedure and after the procedure in both group have no significant difference in statistics. Conclusions With intravenous use of little dose of midazolam and propofol in patients, gastroscopy can be performed comfortablely and safely. But expenses of in sedative group was remarkable lower as compared with the control group.
