Abstract

Objective: To study the significance and operative method for selective submucous resection of nasal septum by nasal endoscope. Methods: According to the different purposes, submucous resection of nasal septum by nasal endoscope was performed on 204 patients. Result: 100% clinical cure rate for those suffered from simple deflection of nasal septum was taken. After the operation, clinical symptoms of deflection of nasal septum, such as headache, nasal obstruction and haemorrhagia nasalis were cured effectively and no complications of synechia nasal and perforation of nasal septum occurred. 2 cases of hematoma of nasal septum were healed after setting draining tube. Conclusions: The selective submucous resection of nasal septum by nasal endoscope is a secure, active and effective method.
