Abstract
Objective To evaluate the application of modified sub-mucosa nasal septum resection for the treatment of nasal septum deviation. Methods Eighty-four patients with nasal septum deviation were treated by the modified submucous nasal septum resection. The resected cartilage was replanted, and the deviated bony nasal septum was corrected by fracture. Results Nasal septum deviation was successfully corrected with satisfied ventilation in both sides of the nasal cavity;no perforation or flop of nasal septum occurred in all cases. Conclusion The modified submucous nasal septum resection is an effective method for the treatment of nasal septum deviation, with the advantages of easy-manipulation and less operation complicative.
