Clinical efficacy comparison between budesonide and dexamethasone in the treatment of acute laryngitis

Objective To compare the linical efficacy comparison between budesonide and dexamethasone in the treatment of acute laryngitis.Methods 62 cases of acute laryngitis patients were randomly assigned into two groups,30 cases in group A were treated by dexamethasone aerosol inhalation,while 32 in group B were treated by budesonide compressed air inhalation.The effects of treatment were observed.Results Total effective rate of group A was 73.33%,lower than in 96.88% group B(P0.05);breathing difficulties,cough,hoarseness disappearance time and hospital stay of group A were longer than those in group B(P0.05);Adverse reaction rate of group A was 33.33%,higher than in 6.25% group B.Conclusion Budesonide in the treatment of acute laryngitis is more effective than dexamethasone,which can promote the elimination of clinical symptoms in children with toleratance,which can be used as effective drug for largngitis.
