Abstract
Objective: To well know the present situstion of schistosomiasis epidemic trend to supply evidence for taking measures to prevent schistosomiasis in Yongsheng County. Methods: Using stratified sampling method to determine the survey places, The schistosomiasis in people and livestock were surveyed by the methods of nylon bag incubation and top - tube incubation. Using systematic sampling combined with community field trial to survey snail distribution.Results:The infection rate in population was 3.74% and livestock was 1.59% ,the average density of living snail was 3.5 per frame, the natural infection rate of snail was 0.026% , the density of infectious snail was 0.009 per frame. Conclusion: The epidemic situation in heavy epidemic regions have lessened markedly, while the epidemic situation in mild epidemic regions have rebounded.
