Abstract
Objective To investigate epidemic development and influencing factors of schistosomiasis in epidemic area to predict its epidemic trends. Methods Accordance to the requirements of the ‘Hubei schistosomiasis monitoring program', the epidemic data of two monitoring points in Luochang county were collected. Results The infective rates for the second category village and cattle were 5.97% and 9.4%, and the live snails density was 1.97 per square meter; The infective rate for the three category village and cattle was 1.62% and 10%, and the live snails density was 0.28 per square meter. There was significant difference between the infective rates of the two villages. Conclusion The second category village needs to focus on prevention.Effort should be taken to forbid graze cattle and health education to the infective rate of people in schistosomiasis epidemic areas.
