Abstract
This paper introduces an improved numerical controlled oscillator(NCO) based on CORDIC algorithm, which applies CORDIC arithmetic instead of traditional SIN ROM lookup table. With this method, data storage can be greatly reduced and the utility factor of resources can be efficiently improved.According to the corresponding literature,a detailed error performance analysis is given.MATLAB emulator results and the realization on FPGA along with the output signal emulator wave after synthesis are brought forth. Therefore, high precision output signal can be produced and the design purpose can be attained.
