Abstract

Objective: To study the death of the patients with acute cerebral apoplexy during recovery period. Methods:The clinical data of 22 cases of acute apoplexy during recovery period were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Among the 22 cases, 8 died from arrhythmia and myocardial infarction,6 from serious infection and infectious shock and DIG,4 from diabetic acidosis;3 from recurrent bleeding, 1 from suffocation. Conclusion:The death cause of cases of acute apoplexy in recovery stage is not common brain failure, cerebral hernia or the acute and complicated multi-organ dysfunction, but sudden deterioration after recovery, which often happens in clinic (the fatality rate in this group is 10.6%).Close attention must be paid by doctors, who should have a thorough understanding of the case history and detect as early as possible the strange clinical behavior in order to prevent the disease from worsening.
