Abstract
Dibutyl malate was synthesized from malic acid and butyl alcohol used solid superacid SO42-/TiO2 as catalyst. The influence factors such as kind and amount of catalyst, reaction time, reaction temperature and so on were studied. The results showed that when the molar ratio of malic acid to butyl alcohol was 1∶4(0.04 mol of malic acid),amount of catalyst was 0.8 g,benzene of bring-water reagent 2 mL,reaction time 5 h,the yield of esterification was up to 90%.
