Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficiency of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with percutanneous transsplenic selective portal vein chemoembolization(PTSPVCE)for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Thirty-two patients with unresectable and portal vein-supplying advanced HCC were divided into two groups.Thirteen patients(study group)were treated with TACE combined with PTSPVCE,while 19 patients were treated with single TACE(control group). All patients were followed up from eleven to thirty-seven months, and the efficiency of the two groups was compared. Results Tumor shrinking rate of study group and control group was 84.62% and 63.16%,respectively.Increscent rate of left liver of the two groups was 38.43% and 10.78%,respectively.Survival rate of 1 year,2 years and 3 years of the two groups was 77.78%,55.56%,33.33% and 58.82%,35.29%,17.65%,respectively(P all0.05).Conclusion The efficiency of TACE combined with PTSPVCE in treatment of advanced HCC is better than that of single TACE.Percutaneous transsplenic portal catheterization is a safe and feasible method for portal vein catheterization.
