Urban Public Spaces from the Cultural Perspective:The Case of Chongqing

The paper focuses on exploring the property of urban public spaces from the cultural perspective.At the moment,the challenges that Chinese cities have met in the development,such as the issues of need and possibility,the issues of protection and development,are all greatly affected by urban culture.Only urban culture can lead a city to grow with its characteristics,thus call back the urban soul that gradually fade away.Since Chongqing is a multi-cultural and distinctive city in which culture plays an increasingly important role in urban development, urban culture makes the young municipality filled with passion and vigor.
