Abstract
Genetic diversity of 14 varieties of Mentha introduced to Hainan was analyzed by ISSR markers.12 primers with better polymorphism,high repeatability,clear strips were selected from 100 ISSR primers.The result showed that a total of 276 bands were detected from 14 samples of which 272 were polymorphic(98.32%),indicating that these cultivars had comparatively high genetic variation.The range of GS was 0.5181-0.8732 with an average of 0.65.And all the cultivars could be divided into 6 groups with the similarity coefficient at 0.69,by UPGMA method.The result of cluster analysis was consistent with that of traditional external appearance discrimination.
