Concentration and Distribution of Heavy Metals in Surface Sediment of Quanzhou Bay,Fujian Province

Abstract

Surface sediment samples were collected in Quanzhou Bay,Fujian Province in July 2004 to analyze concentration and distribution of 8 heavy metals.Heavy metals in surface sediments showed generally the decrease current from entrance of river into sea to the bay.According to potential ecological risk assessment,heavy metals in surface sediments have light ecological risk.
