Abstract
The cDNA encoding human pro-urokinase has been isolated from a cDNA library prepared from human placenta cells. Two pairs of probes have been used for hybridization.These probes are made by in vitro extension of synthesized oligonucleotides.Characterized by restriction endonuclease map southern blot, and sequencing, this cDNA covers the complete coding sequences of the matured urokinase of 411 amino acids and of 20 amino acids of the signal peptide. It also covers the 3' untranslated region and the 5' untranslated region of 95 nucleotides.
