Application of SLOPEP/W in Slope Stability Analysis of an Open Pit Mining Field

Abstract

The nonworking slope of a coal mining field is a high soft rocky slope.In order to analyze the slope whether there is a potential security risk to affect the construction schedule and construction safety,the stability of the nonworking slope is analyzed.The computational model of the slope is established with the Slope/W module in Geo-studio software,the rainstorm working condition and heavy rain superposition seism condition are calculated with Bishop and Morgenstern-price method,and the stability factor of the slope is obtained.Finally,compared the calculation results of the speculated sliding surface with the slope stability assessment standards,it is found that the calculation results and site survey forecasting conclusions are basically the same.The whole stability of the slope is basically stable.
