A New Attempt--Planning and Design of the Central Park in South New Zone of Yancheng City

The city central park not only bears the function of urban open space but also is the continuity place of citizen's work and living. This plan has Water Yancheng as the theme, the large water surface as the center, and the commercial space and natural ecological space as the main content. The plant communities and design are used for better ecological environment. Integrated with the historical and cultural characters of Yancheng, an urban wetland park where the nature and human meet with the functions of catering, recreation, entertainment and tourism is formed.
