Abstract

Objective To explore the degree of indoor air pollution and human health hazards after decoration. Methods 186 rooms that had been finished decorating were selected after one month and monitored by field sampling inspection,23 sites were sampled each room.Formaldehyde was detected with electrochemical analysis;benzene, toluene, xylene and TVOC were detected with gas chromatography, respirable particulate matter(PM10) was measured at the scene. Results 465 samples were collected in 186 rooms. The exceeding rate of formaldehyde was 72.58%,the largest exceeding standard multiple was 31.6 of national standards. The exceeding rates of benzene, toluene and xylene were 35.05%,32.25% and 34.40%,respectively;the exceeding rate of TVOC was 16.77%,the total exceeding rate of the above four indicators was 29.62%.Over standard rate of PM10 was 14.83%.Conclusion Decorating room can cause air pollution, people should use environmental protection material and strengthen the management of ventilation.
