Abstract
Isoamyl benzoate was synthesized from benzoic acid and isoamyl alcohol in the presence of p-toluene sulphonic acid.The yield of the ester could reach 99% under amount of substance ratio of benzoic acid,isoamyl alcohol and p-toluene salphonic acid is 1:3:0.13,refluxing and water segrated for 2h.
