The Systematic Assessment and Sustainable Development of Dongting Lake Region

Abstract

The ecological function and ecological problems of wetland in Dongting Lake region are analyzed, and the ecological function of the wetland in Dongting Lake region is degrading by using AHP method to Evaluate ecological quality. Finally, some countermeasures suggestions for strengthening ecological construction and realizing the sustainable development of wetland resources in Dongting Lake region were put forward:(1)Protecting biological diversity; (2)protecting water resources; (3)developing water ecological agriculture; (4)strengthening legal supervision; (5)establishing a characteristic wetland eco-tourism.
