Abstract
AIM: To establish three-dimensional finite element(3D-FE) model of mandibular incisor defect restored by telescopic crown retainers.METHODS: CT scanning was used to obtain the 3D geometric model,reverse engineering software and Ansys10.0 were used to transform data,trim models and validate them.RESULTS: A 3D-FE model of mandibular incisor defect restored by telescopic crown retainers was established,which gave a possibility for the further research of its biomechanical property.CONCLUSION: The feasible and effective model can be applied in the stress analysis of denture and teeth.
