Abstract

Pomegranate not only has rich nutrition, and the polyphenols in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, cancer effects. In this study, the authors extracted total polyphenol from pomegranate peel by means solvent extraction.The best processing condition was attained by single factor and orthogonal experiment: the ethanol concentration was 60 %,1 ∶ 25(g/mL)of mass ratio, extracting time was 3 hours at the temperature of 60 ℃, polyphenols were 32.50 %.
