Abstract

Objective To detect the various lymphocyte subpopulations and NK cells in peripheral blood of patients with seroresistance syphilis and to explore the the relationship between their seroresistance and cellular immunity. Methods Fifteen patients with untreated syphilis,32 patients with seroresistance syphilis, 11 healthy volunteers were investigated. Their peripheral blood were extracted.Using flow cytometry,we examined the proportion of CD4+,CD8+,Th1,Th2,NK cells. Results Seroresistance syphilis were higher than those in the healthy control group(P0.05).CD4+ T cells,CD4+/CD8+,NK cells,Th1,Th1/Th2 were lower than that (P0.05). CD4+ T cells,CD4+/CD8+,Th1,Th1/Th2 in the peripheral blood of patients with seroresistance syphilis were lower than those in patients with untreated syphilis(P0.05). Conclusion There is cellular immune suppression in seroresistance syphilis patients. The occurrence of Th1 drifting to Th2 exist. It is probably to affect the complete removal of treponema pallidum. These may be the reason of caused seroresistance syphilis.
