Abstract
Objective:To study the influence of evidence-based medicine on treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy side effect. Methods:A total of 100cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy admitted from January 2009to December 2012were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group. Before radiotherapy, according to the evidence-based medicine classification, patients in the observation group were given corresponding Chinese medicine broth orally once a day;while patients in control group were given radiation therapy alone.Acute side effects, static and dynamic flow saliva and values change in the process of radiotherapy were observed and compared. Results:In observation group, during 2nd,3rd,4th weeks of radiation therapy, acute radiation reaction symptom score were significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).The static and dynamic saliva flow rate and value in observation group were significantly higher than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Corresponding internal traditional Chinese broth according to evidence-based medicine classification can reduce acute side effects in radiation therapy, and effectively improve clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients.
