Abstract
Starting from the rural social structure of new countryside in Northern Jiangsu,and taking Zhakou Village,Dapeng Town,Tongshan County in Jiangsu for example,the basic constitution and characteristics of new rural structure,and production and lifestyle of the farmers were discussed.It was concluded that the construction of rural public space must be based on sufficient acquaintance with the rural social structure,and in accordance with its characteristics.
