Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between fatty liver and insulin resistance, and BMI in type 2 diabetes mellitus.Method The investigation was conducted by virtue of case-control study, that is ,one group was made of type 2 diabetes patients with fatty liver, and the other one consisted of type 2 diabetes patients without fatty liver as control group.BMI,serum lipids, fasting and 2-hour postprandial serum glucose,HOMA-IR,were measured in all the patients.Result Body weight,BMI,diastolic blood pressure,2-hour postprandial serum glucose, serum cholesterol, serum triglceride, and HOMA-IR were higher in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with fatty liver group than control group. Conclusion TC,TG,HOMA-IR,BMI and LDL are connected with the diabetes mellitus with fatty liver, and what's more, body weight and 2-hour postprandial serum glucose are the risk factors of fatty liver.
