The efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of fifty eight cases of chronic cholecystitis

Objective The objective of this article is to study the efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of chronic cholecystitis.Methods Fifty eighty patients with chronic cholecystitis were randomly divided into two groups: 58 cases in trial group and 56 cases in control group.Patients in control group were taken with 0.2 gram levofloxacin capsule orally twice a day for two weeks.Patients in trial group were given with traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of same treatment as control group.The effectiveness of patients in these two groups had been observed.Results The cure rate of trial group was 51.7% and the cure rate in control group was 33.9%(P0.05).Therefore,the cure rate of trial group was much better than that of control group.The rate of adverse reactions in trial group was 12.1%,and the rate of adverse reactions in control group was 16.1%.So the rate of adverse drug reactions in trial group was fewer than that of control group(P0.05),but the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion The cure rate of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of chronic cholecystitis is higher than that of routine treatment,thus it is worthy to be popularized in clinical application.
