Abstract

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of glucose oxidase( GOD) on growth performance,nutrient digestibility,and intestinal microflora and morphology of the weaned piglets. Three hundred three-line crossbred( Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire) weaned piglets weighted( 8. 71 ±0. 13) kg were randomly divided into 3 groups,with each group represented by 5 replicates of 20 piglets per replicate. Test group Ⅰwas fed a basal diet as control group,test group Ⅱ was fed the basal diet supplemented with 0. 1 % of chlortetracycline,test group Ⅲ was fed the basal diet supplemented with 200 g / t of GOD. The trial lasted for 28 days. The results showed as follows: compared with the test group Ⅰ,the average daily gain( ADG) of the test groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly increased( P0. 05). Diet digestibility of dry matter and crude protein of test groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly higher( P0. 05). The p H of stomach and duodenal of test groupsⅡ and Ⅲ was decreased significantly( P0. 05). The duodenal villus height and ratio of villus height to crypt depth of test group Ⅲ were significantly increased( P0. 05). The number of E. coli of stomach and ileum of test groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly reduced( P0. 05),and the number of lactic acid bacteria was significantly increased( P0. 05),but the cecum was not significantly different among groups( P0. 05). The experiment indicates that the diet supplemented with 200 g / t GOD can reduce the p H and number of E. coli of stomach and duodenum of piglets,increase number of lactic acid bacteria of stomach and duodenum,and improve duodenal villus height and digestibility of dry matter and crude protein,thereby increase the growth performance of piglets.
