The wild economic plant resources in Natural Reserve Region of Headwater of Min River, Fujian Province

Abstract
Natural Reserve Region of Headwater of Min River is located in the southwest of Jianning county, Fujian Province. On the basis of investigation, there exists 1 058 species and 20 subspecies (or varieties) under 635 genera, 168 families. According to their economic purpose, these wild plants can be divided into 11 types, i.e. fibre plant, tanning plant, fragrant plant, fat plant, starch plant, ornamental plant, honey plant, resin and gum plant, pigment plant, medical plant, rare and endangered plant. Some suggestions to protect and develop the wild plant resources of this nature reserve are proposed.
