The role of blood transfusion branch in hospital's clinical transfusion management

Objective:To study the role of blood transfusion branch in clinical transfusion management for safety of clinical transfusion.Methods:The clinical data of the amount of the blood for clinical use,the blood component,the transfusion application,the feedback of adverse transfusion reactions and the register for check and accept of blood samples from January 2007 to December 2008 were counted and analyzed.Results:The blood component transfusion rate rose up in our hospital,the amount of the whole blood for clinical use and incidence rate of adverse transfusion reaction decreased.The behavior of transfusion services was more standard in our hospital,and the structure of clinical blood use also more trended to reasonability.Conclusion:The department of blood transfusion plays an important and indispensable role in safety of clinical transfusion.
