The management of blood transfusion department in blood transfusion

Objective To explore the role of the Department of Blood Transfusion in the management of blood for clinical use,ensuring scientific,rational use of blood in the retrospective analysis of blood usage and transfusion of blood components in 11 years.Methods The data of clinical use,the proportion of blood components and adverse transfusion reactions were collected and analyzed from 2001 January to 2011 December.Results Clinical transfusion of blood components ratio was increased significantly,while the amount of whole blood decreased.The utilization of transfusion of blood components was upon to 100 percent since 2006,and transfusion reaction incidence is declining.Conclusion The blood transfusion department should play important roles in clinical blood quality,safe blood transfusion according of clinical use,strict implementation and ational use of blood measures.
