The concept of labor division is one of the core concepts in The Origin of Family,Private property and the State.Engels thinks that labor division point of view to understand the historical materialism is the easiest.Although the development of productivity is the basis and direct reason of division of labor,the division of labor is a link between productivity and relations of production,and is the realization form of historical process between private property,class and the state and so on.The division of labor led to the transition from the Dual system of family to the specifically polygamous family,along with the development of division of labor,private property,class and the state eventually was born.Using the concept of the labor division,Engels enriched and perfected the Historical materialism.
