Abstract

The method of determination of magnesium in gold by flame atomic absorption spectrometry is studied.Dilute aqua-regia is used to digest sample.Elemental gold is precipitated when sulfur trioxide smoking, then magnesium is determined by FAAS.The detection limit of the method for Mg is 0.0069μg/mL and recovery is 96%~99% with precision of 4.2%~6.9% RSD(n=6).
