Abstract
Located in the north side of the middle reaches of Yangtze River, the Chenhu Lake wetland nature reserve is a very typical freshwater lake and supports a large number of biodiversity. This paper reviews current status of natural resources in Chenhu lake wetland nature reserve. Based on analysis of existing problems, the paper proposed guidelines for protection and restoration of the wetland nature reserve, and overall goals for Chenhu lake wetland development. Discussions were made on concepts and patterns of development of the wetland nature reserve.
