Abstract

Jing Yi Shu Wen,written by Wang Yin-zhi shows many scientific ways to interpret ancient texts critically: indicating interchangeability of words and searching their etymology by sounds-directed semantics;surveying errors by using grammar;checking word and text meaning in language context;judging right and wrong by using collation;summing up the general rule in the book,etc,which make it a monument in the history of scholium.
