The Idea of Love: A Founding Idea in Confucianism

Abstract

The idea of love(Ai) or benevolence(Ren) is a founding idea in Confucianism,that is to say,both 'metaphysics' and 'physics'(epistemology and science,ethics and moral) is founded on it,because as life emotion,love is the appearing of life or existence(Sein).Then the idea of love is an original idea,i.e.as life emotion,love belongs to the source of life as existence itself.
