Abstract
In line with the new demands for a new pattern and concerted development between China's regional and Xinjiang's regional economic developments and in light of Xinjiang's regional economic development of the 11th Five Year Plan, this paper proposes that Xinjiang be a separate economic region. By correct orientation and scientific planning, Xinjiang can develop its economy in a concerted manner when the sub-economic belt along the southern Tianshan Mountains is developed.
