Abstract
On the basis of rainfall data,by analyzing the relationship among project investment,water-saving benefit and rainwater cistern volume,a method of calculating the volume of rainwater cistern in cities based on catchment area is put forward.Further,the engineering benefits are evaluated and the feasibility of the project is demonstrated.Taking Zhengzhou First Middle School for an example,the volume of rainwater cistern of this school is calculated.This can provide references for the volume determination of rainwater cistern in cities.
