Abstract
Objective To study the application of sevoflurane inhalaton anesthesia in newborn. Methods Sixty newborns aged 1 to 27 days were randomly divided two groups of general anaesthesia with sevoflurane inhalation alone(group A,8% sevoflurane for induction and 4% for maintenance) and with sevoflurane combined with fentainl(group B,8% sevoflurane plus fentainl 3μg/kg for induction and 3% sevoflurane for maintenance). The HR,BP were measured and the time from induction to intubation(T1),the time from stopping inhalation to respiratory recovery(T2) and the time of extubation were recorded. Results T1 was longer but T2 was shorter in group A than those in group B.The HR and BP were lower in group A than those before anesthesia and in group B at 15min after skin incision. Conclusion Sevoflurane inhalation alone is better than sevoflurane combined with fentainl for general anaesthesia in newborn with more safety.
