Abstract
Objective To evaluate the outcome of children lacrimal canaliculus anastomosis under general anesthesia and to investigate characteristics of the procedure. Methods 17 children who consecutively underwent lacrimal canaliculus anastomosis in general anesthesia.During surgeries,we used segmental eqidural cathete as lacrimal canaliculus, and repaired the skin in Z shape. Results After six-month to two years follow-up period, syphilis of lacrimal passagers of 15 cases are unobstructed, without epiphora. The final cure rate was 88.2%(15/17 cases). Conclusion In all cases,we directly search for the canaliculus broken ends of nasal side, intubate cathete about 1.5 cm,anastomose the canaliculus, and repaire the skin in Z shape. After regular follow-up,we can obtain the higher cure rate.
