The Characteristics of Hakka Dialects Archaic Words——Based on Meixian Dialect

Abstract

Based on Meixian dialect,this article analyzes the characteristics of Hakka dialects archaic words.It shows,there are most monosyllabic words in Hakka dialects archaic words,and the meaning of most Hakka dialects archaic words do not change.From the historical stage,there are the greatest number in the era before Sui Tang,greater in the Song Dynasty,great in the Sui Tang and Five Dynasties,and on the relation between Hakka dialects and other dialects,we found Min dialects have various numbers of mutual archaic words.
