On the Improvement of the Quality of Teaching Practice in Teachers' Colleges and Universities

One of the key teaching tasks in teachers' colleges or universities is to improve the quality of teaching practice. However, some problems still exist in present teaching practice, such as the shortcoming of curriculum system, lack of teaching probation, insufficient time for teaching practice, lack of scientific and detailed guidance in the process of teaching practice and instability of teaching practice base. In this paper, some countermeasures are suggested: to enhance the sense of crisis, to form the atmosphere of being concerned about teaching practice, to perfect the pedagogical curriculum system, to establish a relationship of mutual benefits with teaching practice base, to further enrich the forms and content of teaching practice, to set up effective “double tutors” system and to improve the quality of teaching practice.
