Abstract
The modification and transformation of bentonite and treatment of dyestuff industrial wastewater with modified bentonite were studied. Results showed that the decolorization rate of the active dye-containing aqueous solution was more than 95%. The COD removal efficiency of the wastewater consisting mainly of active dye was 56% at a modified bentonite adsorbent dosage of 2.5 g/L.
